We are a property management firm seeking a full-time Maintenance worker to join our team managing several properties in Western Mass. The right candidate will be someone who can work independently and with a team, is self-directed, organized, able to multi-task, and who works well with people, both co-workers and tenants. A reliable vehicle is required. Full time, Monday thru Friday shift schedule with on call coverage. 7:30AM to 4:00PM Job Responsibilities: • Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment for necessary repairs and general cleanliness • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, etc. • Check system control panels and electrical panels to identify issues • Maintain, service, clean and properly store equipment • Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues • Handles necessary repairs and maintenance such as patching holes in a wall, replacing bulbs, changing a toilet flapper, etc. • Complies with all company safety regulations. • Works with a mobile/online work order system and keeps tasks/work orders update • Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion. • Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed. • Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients. • Collaborates with the maintenance team and contractors as needed. • Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools. • Perform other related duties and activities as required Qualifications and Skills: • Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds. • Ability to work independently • Communicates effectively both written and orally and can follow direction • Interpersonal or customer service skills for communicating with tenants and contractors Education and Experience Requirements: • At least one year of building maintenance, construction, or related field is strongly preferred, but not required • Must have a driver’s license, reliable and insured vehicle, and a clean driving record. • High School Diploma or GED
