Description
Ensures CNC machines are programmed effectively to manufacture products correctly, within budget, and on time. Small, growing machine shop with family oriented culture located in the North Metro area. Duties/Responsibilities: · Ensures CNC programming is complete; Support/assist Production Machinists as needed · Follows company processes that optimize machine utilization and efficiency · Prioritize personal daily work schedule according to time deadline targets to achieve company on time delivery target of 95% · Communicate any delay in production to Manufacturing Assistant to ensure communication with customer · Implement manufacturing operations correctly to meet or exceed quality standards · Operate machine in an efficient and cost-effective manner at all times · Report any maintenance or repair needs for machines to Manufacturing Manager immediately · Produce materials that meet customer build and quality specifications consistently. Rectify rejected/nonconformance product in a timely manner · Use and promote manufacturing best practices and performance standards · Apply personal training and development plans as assigned · Promote and maintain awareness of all applicable safety standards · Consistently meet or exceed productivity goals · Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: · Must have experience with using MasterCam software · Ability to program CNC machines to achieve operational objectives · Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering and technical drawings · Understanding of production planning and scheduling · Understanding of quality assurance systems including ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System · Understanding of Lean manufacturing processes and tools · Excellent problem-solving skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Proficiency in basic math and conversion of measurements. · Ability to achieve quality standards while maintaining production deadlines · Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities quickly Education and Experience: · High school diploma or equivalent preferred. · At least three years related programming experience in a Job Shop environment required. Physical Requirements: · Continual walking, standing, stooping, bending, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying. · Work in manufacturing environment while standing for 8 hours · Exposure to loud noise, sharp tools · Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
