Description
Available for adoption is an exceptionally sweet bunny. Bun Bun is one of the gentlest bucks you'll have the pleasure of meeting. He knows his name and puts his paws on the cage door when he sees you coming. Carrots and apple slices are among his favorites, however Beet leaves and Swiss Chard are a close second and third. The occasional banana peel is also an odd, but favored, snack.
Bun Bun's story is an interesting one: Early this year several domestic rabbits were turned loose to fend for themselves. A dear friend of ours discovered them and began live-trapping them to adopt out to good homes. Bun Bun was one of several kits born from these abandoned rabbits. He was trapped as an inquisitive weanling in July, and we have fostered him up to now. He is now six months old.
Bun Bun is robust and has a bright, cheerful personality. He is a very happy rabbit! He loves people and exploring, and is immaculately tidy. Easy to catch and hold, his best quality is that he doesn't bite. Having his nose pet is his favorite thing in the world. He has a super soft Himalayan-style coat, white with grey points. In Winter his coat is "ticked" with darker gray hairs.
Though he lives outdoors, he loves coming into the house for "couch time" to watch tv with us, and especially likes our German Shepherd's dog cot. He would make a fantastic candidate for an indoor rabbit, and I believe would be very easy to train to a litter box.
We would love for Bun Bun to find himself a forever home where he can have couch time, cuddles, and eat carrots and banana peels to his heart's content.
