Welding Bay Senior Technician Parks & Sons of Sun City, Inc. – West Valley Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Improve productivity by using available resources to obtain maximum productivity and employee development. • This is a hands-on role. Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices. Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, using knowledge of welding techniques. • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. • Practice safety procedures must be able to use all safety measures to establish a safe work environment. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. • Help maintain the general cleanliness, and security of the maintenance facilities and any vehicles, personal property stored therein. • Maintain superb communication with supervisor (notify of work status, repairs pending) • Responsibilities are included but are not limited to this position. Requirements: • Must have leadership or supervisory skills and a minimum of 4+ years’ experience operating as a commercial welder. • Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with great attention to detail and organizational skills. • Must be able to be a critical thinker and problem solver. Must address problems and issues with management from time to time, this will help achieve target maximum productivity. • Current and valid certification a plus. • Must have safety knowledge. • Dependable, reliable, and punctual. • Must be a team player and work well under minimal supervision. Must be able to promote a self-promote environment. Works outdoors under possibly adverse weather conditions and/or noise. • Must be able to use chemicals, cleaning agents, and work in high/low/humid temperatures. • Troubleshooting ability • Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives.
