Maverick is a 6yr old German Shepard/Labrador mix. We took him in as an emergency situation for someone and decided to foster him for a bit and see what type of home he would work best in. We have had him in our home since August and prior to us, he had never lived with cats or small animals. We have 3 cats, 2 ferrets and a bird and he gets along very well with all of them. He takes treats really well from your hand and is not food or treat/toy aggressive. He is a fast learner and loves training routines. He is a very loyal loving dog that needs enrichment and either lots of walks or a fenced back yard. He does well with other dogs, but will try to hump male dogs. He is fixed and up to date on shots. He does a little better with female dogs.
