Description

This chinchilla is estimated to be just under a year old, my boyfriend got her for me after my ferret passed away but I wasn’t looking to take on another pet. I’m working 12-14 hour days and do not have the time or energy to give her the love and attention she deserves. When she first got here, she was extremely shy. She would just stay under the cage when I let her out and would alarm if anyone tried to get close to her. At this point, she’s the sweetest girl and loves to be pet and will sit on your lap/feet/shoulder/wherever she can reach. She is like this with everyone now. I got to this point with her by not ever trying to pick her up and letting her decide whether or not to come check me out while I sat on the floor, she still doesn’t approve of being picked up but will climb into a dust bath as soon as you sit it down so that’s how I get her back in the cage after play time. We have two dogs and a cat, both have been near her cage and it didn’t seem to bother her. I would never allow her to actually be out around the other animals. She’ll come with her single unit Critter Nation cage with two levels and a ramp, homemade poop guards on the sides of the cage (can be removed), water bottle, food bowl, hay feeder, two half bags of hay, her food, a snack mix, dust bath powder, a silent spinner wheel, hammock, two huts, a chinchiller, and a small bed. For bedding, we have been using reusable puppy pads. If you are looking to adopt her, please make sure you do your research first. Chinchillas are NOT a pet for children and have very specific living requirements. I am asking three hundred for all of this, but would take one hundred fifty for just the chinchilla and her food if you already have a cage or wish to house her with other chins. Shoot me a text or email and I will get back with you asap, thanks!
