Description
Hello everyone, meet Norma Jean.
She is an energetic, fun loving, 40ish pound pit/hound mix that we adopted over the summer. With very sad hearts we have arrived at the realization that her bouncy personality is not a good fit for our home (and our persistently defiant toddler). She is good about letting him know that she needs her space, but he is not as receptive as we need him to be in those situations. She would be a good fit for someone with tiny humans that already know how to behave around dogs, or a family without tiny humans.
Norma trains well, and is very, very receptive to food rewards in her training. She loves other dogs, has spent lots of time at the dog park and is also registered at Puget Hound for boarding. We have never seen her be aggressive towards other dogs, and when at the dog park, all she wants to do is find a pal to run around with at full speed. We have not tested her with any other animals. She is house trained, uses a dog door, and rides in the car well.
She will come with everything you will need to take care of her (crate, food/water bowl, toys, leash, harness, etc.). We will be asking for a rehoming cost to cover these expenses.
We care about Norma very much, and as such, we will be selective about who will be her new forever owners. We never thought that it wouldn't be us, which is usually the case for anyone who has to make the decision to rehome a dog.
We look forward to hearing from you.
