Lori Zuroff sings with the Midtown Horns, a 15-piece horn centric band that plays a lot of big rock and R&B numbers. From Contemporary to Motown to classic rock, to Latin Rhythms, blues and soul, The Midtown Horns band can do it all. The highly accomplished and experienced horn and rhythm sections provide the backup for two male and three female vocalists which serve to create a powerful, high energy band. Lori is also the bandleader of her own 5-piece rock/roots band called Lola Sweet and the Burbanites, as well as singing lead and backup in the 15-piece horn-centric band, The Midtown Horns. Lori studied jazz vocals for several years with Boston’s own jazz divas Rebecca Parris and Dominique Eade, and with Sheila Jordan and Jay Clayton in New York City. She has been singing with various jazz, rock, blues, and R&B bands for over 20 years in the Boston area, performing with both small and large bands in venues all over Boston including at Chick Singer Night at The Burren and Johnny D’s in Somerville, The Mad Monkfish in Cambridge, and other venues from Boston to Worcester to Cape Cod and beyond. Lori released her first Jazz CD, Ladybug, in 2020, available on many platforms including Spotify, iTunes and Amazon Music.
