Make Ready Technician Houston, TX This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. The responsibilities and position requirements are as follows: Primary Responsibilities • Ensure all vacant apartments are ready prior to move-in by completing a Make-Ready Checklist of needed services and repairs. Complete all services and repairs correctly and on schedule. • •Ensure that all vacant unit’s electrical, plumbing and air conditioning systems work • Make general appliance repairs, and minor A/C and electrical repairs • Install appliances, electrical and plumbing fixtures as required • Installs, repairs and/or rekeys deadbolt locks as necessary • Perform routine maintenance tasks, minor maintenance requests, routine preventative maintenance, and repairs as needed. • Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner • Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Prior experience in apartment maintenance and make ready is required. • Ability to understand basic instructions and follow a checklist of tasks • Basic knowledge of Electrical; including outlets, switches, and light fixtures, Plumbing, and HVAC. • Skill in using basic hand tools. •Ability to assess detailed repairs and replacements in a vacant apartment to make it available for a new resident • Ability to meet crucial deadlines and timelines • Flexible schedule • Ability to carry/lift 25-50 lbs.
