His 2020 album Blindsided found Mark “nodding to another icon, heartland hero Tom Petty,” emphasizing “12-string guitar jangle and straightforward vocal hooks.” (Rolling Stone). An album in “the sweet spot” (Associated Press), Blindsided combines the exuberance of Erelli’s signature sound with the wisdom that comes with over 20 years of songwriting, capturing an artist at a point in his career where he is clearly digging deep and swinging for the fences. Common Ground Concerts is a grassroots concert promotion and event planning organization based in Westchester County NY. Since 2002, Common Ground has produced its flagship Common Ground Coffeehouse series, sponsored by (and hosted by) The First Unitarian Society of Westchester, in Hastings-on-Hudson NY. Common Ground is also an arts partner of Irvington Town Hall Theater in Irvington NY, where we host about four additional concerts a year.
