Body Kindness Plus Size Women Empowerment (BKPSWE) hosts their 3rd annual Fat Girl Clothing Swap in Louisville, KY Now opening up to the public, Body Kindness Plus Size Women Empowerment of Louisville (BKPSWE) is hosting their 3rd Annual Fat Girl Clothing Swap! PLEASE VIEW RULES/GUIDELINES - By purchasing a ticket you automatically agree to the Swap Rules below. Check in begins at 2pm. You must be checked in by 2:30pm to participate in the swap. What to Bring » - Clothing Basket Swap Items (should be items you are ready to part with- you may or may not find something to take from the items in the Swap Pot and if you do it may not be of the same value as what you contributed) 30 ITEMS MAX FOR DONATION TO SWAP POT Tops size XL or larger Bottoms size 16 or larger Dresses size 16/XL or larger Shoes , bags, hats, accessories count! No holes, stains, excessive wear will be accepted. Swap will last until approximately 4:30pm, your ticket will be called in random order to select one item at a time from the Swap Pot. If you donated 1-9 items, you will visit the Swap Pot that same number of times. If you donated 10-30 items, you will visit the Swap Pot 10 times for 10 items max. You will have a time limit to select your item. You may go try on items AFTER your time is up and reswap later if that item doesn’t work for you. At the end of the swap we will open the Swap Pot up for an unlimited FREE DIVE! All remaining items will be donated to a local Women’s shelter or charity. This is a body positive event! WHICH MEANS: - We don't talk negatively about the bodies of ourselves or others - We don't participate in or allow diet or weight loss discussions (including weight loss surgery). We celebrate and find comfort in the skin that we are in today. This event is designed to help offset the struggle to find affordable and cute plus size clothing due to lack of inclusivity for all sizes. All bodies are good bodies regardless of size. This will be a positive experience, if something doesn't fit, no worries, put it back and move on to something that fits you the way you are today. A positive, mature and giving attitude is REQUIRED. You may not leave with the same value or number of items that you arrived with. SWAP items should be items that you are comfortable ‘giving away’ because you may not find anything to take in return. You also may want the same exact item as another member does - no fighting, no arguing, if conversations get heated, please walk away from the item. It's not that important.
