The MWE's season closer featuring some of the new compositions as well as old favorites. Guest - Student Solo Competition winner The McAllen Wind Ensemble will close their season with a concert featuring some of the newer music written for wind ensemble as well as our best loved classics. There's no better way to describe the McAllen Wind Ensemble's season finale than "Music from the Heart". When David Gillingham composed his “With Heart and Voice”, he pictured the concert band members’ instruments as their voices…voices (instruments) singing together, raised in a song from the heart. The piece was written with a variety of emotions coming to a conclusion with a feeling of joy and celebration. How could there possibly be a better way to end this season? This concert will also feature the winner of the MWE’s student concerto competition.
