Meet Nixie! Adoptable through SARA Saving At Risk Animals! Nixie is a spunky 8 month old girl who loves to play but equally loves to cuddle. And when I say cuddle I mean on your chest puuring all cute and suckling you hand kinda cuddle. Aside from her need for love and cuddles she also has special needs. Nixie was born without her left kidney! We figured this out after she underwent a major surgery to remove a hair ball blockage last month! Not only did they remove a gold ball sized hair ball and learn she has only one kindey, but they also had to remove 3cm if her bowl. But none of this stops her. Infact she is back to being completely normal. She only requires to be on a high quality wet food diet and to be groomed periodically because of these things. And you guessed it, that long luxurious coat needs to be maintained or another blockage could happen. Nixie gets along with other animals like dogs of all sizes and other cats. However, she needs to be in a home that prioritizes grooming and vacuuming as she loves to help groom her packs coats as well. She would ideally love to be the only pampered pet.
