Since its establishment in 2003, the Foundation has functioned as the charitable arm of the agency, raising funds to support programming, special services and facilities provided by the Richland County Recreation Commission. The Foundation also raises awareness of the benefits of exercise and a healthy lifestyle. The Foundation recognizes that the availability of neighborhood parks, recreation programs and community events is essential and invaluable to a thriving community.
