Description

We are celebrating Wayne Harden! After 8 years as Clinic Supervisor (over the laundry and shower program), Wayne is retiring. Wayne Harden started with Emmaus House in February of 2014 and has made a substantial impact on the program ever since. Over 10,000 loads of laundry washed and just as many facilitated hot showers later, Wayne continues to insist that being part of the Emmaus House Team is "Not a job- it's a calling" Wayne has set the standard for what it means to put in the work for this community every day. He has shown us all what dedication, hard work and giving with a cheerful heart are the most important qualities needed in order to work at Emmaus House. Please join us on Friday February 25th here at Emmaus House (18 Abercorn Street) at 11:00am to celebrate Wayne. In the meantime, we are collecting tokens of appreciation from the community in an effort to present him with a gift at his retirement party in February. Please give what you can, and help us show him how much he is appreciated by all who know him!
