Come learn about sparkling wine with wine educator Matthew MacCartney. Bring your own bottle to add to the learning! Join local wine educator Matthew MacCartney for this fun, hands-on wine class. Bring Your Own Bottle of sparkling (champagne, prosecco, Cava, etc)to practice with as you learn about how sparkling is made and the difference between sparkling wines around the world. And as a student of the Institute of Masters of Wine, put Matthew on the spot to tell you more about the wine you bring. About The Artist: Matthew holds the WSET Diploma and is a Student of the Institute of Masters of Wine. He is the Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival Wine Director since 2020. Prior to that he was Chef, Partner, and Wine Director of Jamestown Fish that earned a spot on Wine Enthusiast's List of 100 Best Wine Restaurants and Matthew was twice voted Food & Wine People's Best New Chef. Matthew resides in Jamestown, RI and is focusing on his own wine education and sharing that knowledge with others.
