Does Anyone Remember the JENNJOY Art Gallery

Description

When I was younger I used to visit S.F. often. I remember visiting the JennJoy Gallery and seeing a work of art that I have never forgotten. I have often wondered what happened to that particular work. I do not remember the title of the work nor do I remember the artist who made it. It was a kinetic-type sculptural work made of found objects. The art piece was comprised of 2 parts that sat on the floor. The first part was a music stand. I think it was made of black metal and I think there was sheet music that was set upon it or it could have been blank paper. The second part was set up several feet away from the music stand and was a type of revolving projector made up from a series of lenses. The projector was fabricated by the artist and had 6 or 8 sides, and at the center of the lenses was a single light source. What the projector did was project single letters of the alphabet (or it could have been musical symbols) onto the paper sitting on the music stand. Since the projector was revolving the letters swept across the paper and onto the walls of the dimly lit gallery. If anyone recalls this work of art or knows the artist who created it please get in touch. I've always been intrigued by this artwork and its maker. I have often wondered if this artist went on to make more incredible work such as this. Thank you for your time. V.M....................
