Join Amistades, Inc. and the University of Arizona to celebrate Segundo de Febrero with guest speaker Jose Angel Gutierrez. Calling all Chicanos, Mexican Americans, Mexicans, and others that want to learn about the the atrocities that the United States committed against Mexican Americans after the Mexican American War! Amistades, Inc.... the only Latino led and Latino serving non-profit agency in Arizona that actually helps Latinos thrive is collaborating with the University of Arizona and Jose Angel Gutierrez to celebrate Segundo de Febrero. Join us on February 2nd, 2022 at 5:30pm at the University of Arizona as Jose Angel Gutierrez speaks about Segundo de Febrero and the Chicano Movement. Dr. Gutierrez is also the author of numerous books and will follow his presentation with autographs and a book signing. Collectively known as the 'Four Horsemen" of the Chicano Movement were Jose Angel Gutierrez, Cesar Chavez, Reies Tijerina, and Corky Gonzales. Dr. Gutierrez is the only living member of the Four Horsemen and has made extensive contributions to the Chicano Movement and Latinos for the past 60 years!
