Get outside and walk/run to start the year off on the right foot at this family friendly, pet friendly event celebrating our local trails.
Laurelville Retreat Center will host a First Day Hike/Run on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, from 1-4 p.m., beginning at the Coal & Coke Trailhead in Mount Pleasant, Pa.
Get outside with friends, family, and pets to hike or run, out and back, as far as you like on the five-mile trail. No registration, no fees, just come and be thankful for friends/family, for a new year, and for our local trails.
Pets must be on a leash.
Park at the trailhead at 23 West Main St., Mt. Pleasant (Architectural Salvage/old Cooks' Lumber), and check in at Snyder Strength & Conditioning across the street from the trailhead for free hot chocolate and restrooms, which will be open at least until 4:30 p.m.
Co-sponsored by Zach Snyder of Snyder Strength & Conditioning, the Coal & Coke Trail, and the Regional Trail Corp. Organizers will post any updates/changes on Laurelville's Facebook/website.
