City Council Meeting Moved To Live Stream As COVID-19 Spikes

LONG BEACH, NY — The Long Beach City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday night will go on. But, due to concerns with rising COVID-19 cases, council members will not meet in person. The Dec. 21 meeting will be held via videoconference and a transcript will be available at a later date, the city said on its website. Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions via Zoom. The public can watch the live meeting on their YouTube channel. One topic on the agenda is whether Long Beach should opt-out of licensing and permitting retail cannabis dispensaries. Those who want to participate can register online for the web conference.
