Plan Commission OKs New Subdivision Project In Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, WI—The city of Brookfield Plan Commission recommended approval on Dec. 13 of a project that would create 16 homes. The proposal comes from Hillcrest Builders and Construction to develop a 10.18-acre site located to the north of Carpenter Road and Franklin Dr. The site would be developed into a family subdivision, according to online city documents. The homes are expected to cost between $500,000 and $1 million. The proposal will need approval for the rezoning from single-family residential to a planned development district. A public hearing would need to be scheduled. " The creation of slightly smaller lots benefit the City's efforts to show the development of smaller and more diverse housing options," the proposal said.
