ARLINGTON, VA — Detectives from the Arlington County Police Department's Homicide/Robbery Unit are investigating a shooting incident that took place Sunday afternoon in the hallway of a Buckingham area apartment building, according to a police release.
Officers responded around 3:04 p.m. for the report of gunshots being heard in the 4200 block of 2nd Road North. After investigating the incident, officers determined the victim was leaving an apartment when he was confronted by two men in the hallway. A fight ensued and one of the men pulled out a firearm. The weapon fired and damaged an apartment door. The two men ran out and then drove off in a blue sedan. The officers retrieved the firearm, which had been left behind. Police said one of the suspects was wearing a blue jacket and the other a red jacket.
