HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 24-year-old man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and has been sentenced to 40 years suspending all but 30 years in prison. On Oct. 20, 2020, Howard County police received information there might be a body in the woodedarea near the 6100 block of Old Dobbin Lane. Officers searched and found the remains of Nahun Odilio Delgado-Sanchez in a shallow grave. Investigators believe Delgado-Sanchez was last seen alive approximately one month before his remains were found, but he had never been reported missing. Police received several tips that helped them develop Marino Ernesto Sanchez-Galdamez as a suspect. Through further investigation, detectives believe he killed Delgado-Sanchez in mid-September and buried his body. Police believe the two men were acquaintances. The medical examiner ruled Delgado-Sanchez's death as a homicide by multiple, sharp force injuries.
