PRINCETON, NJ — Members of Princeton Boychoir featured alongside Michael Bublé for his recent NBC special, "Christmas in the City."
"The boys spent the whole week preparing for the event," said Hilary Butler, Executive Director of Westrick Music Academy, at Princeton Junction.
Ranging from ages 9 to 13, the boys visited New York for two days to prepare for camera rehearsal and singing with Bublé.
"They were excited, nervous, anxious – but they had a great time. He (Bublé) was so kind and generous. While waiting and during breaks, he showed the boys photos of his children. He really valued the kids," said Butler.
She gave credit to Fred Meads, music director at Westrick Music Academy for preparing the Princeton Boychoir for the event. "Fred did the heavy lifting. He prepared the boys and made them feel confident and coordinated with Mr. Buble's band," said Butler.
The performance will be rebroadcast at 10 p.m. Dec. 22, and also streams on Peacock and NBC.com.
