Press release from the City of Paducah: December 20, 2021 The dog park section of Independence Park will close to the public beginning Tuesday, December 21.  The closure is for the installation of a concrete sidewalk from the existing sidewalk through the dog park gates.  The dog park will reopen when the concrete is ready for foot traffic.  This summer, crews installed fencing to create a dog park section at Independence Park. Independence Park opened in 2013.  The park is located at 114 Forest Circle at the corner of Lone Oak Road and Alben Barkley Drive.  In addition to the dog park, Independence Park has a gazebo, benches, and a climbing boulder.  ### This press release was produced by the City of Paducah.
