Press release from Union City: Dec. 21, 2021 The City of Union City is implementing a Holiday Closure in observance of the Winter Holiday Season on Thursday, December 23 through Friday, December 31, 2021. City offices participating in the Holiday Closure will re-open for business on Monday, January 3, 2022. Emergency services will not be affected by the Holiday Closure. City Hall City Hall will be closed on Thursday, December 23, 2021 through Friday, December 31, 2021 and will re-open on January 3, 2022. Police Department Union City Police Records Division will be closed on the following dates: Thursday, December 23, 2021 and Friday, December 24, 2021Friday, December 31, 2021 Public Works and Union City Transit Regularly scheduled street sweeping is suspended Citywide from December 23, 2021 through January 2, 2022. Union City Transit & Union City Paratransit are closed on December 25, 2021 (Christmas Day) and January 1, 2021 (New Year's Day). The last day to order paratransit ticket booklets online is Wednesday, December 22, 2021 before noon. Paratransit ticket books are available at the Marketplace Safeway Customer Service counter on Decoto Road at Alvarado-Niles Road. Community and Recreation Services The Mark Green Sports Center will be open with reduced hours (7:00am to 12:00pm) on December 24, 2021 (Christmas Eve), December 31, 2021 (New Year's Eve) and January 1, 2022 (New Year's Day). The Mark Green Sports Center will be closed on December 25, 2021 (Christmas Day). Winter Day Camps and the CAREavan program will remain open at our community centers. However, the Holly Community Center, Kennedy Youth Center, and Ruggieri Senior Center offices will be closed on Thursday, December 23 through Friday, December 31, 2021 and will re-open on January 3, 2022.
