Woman Wanted In Mother's Death In Manchaca Flees Country

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — A warrant was issued for a woman suspected of stabbing and killing her mother in Manchaca in early December, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office. Wylumva Kathleen Ngongoseke faces a murder charge in the death of 60-year-old Catherine Lyamvi Ngongoseke, deputies said Friday. Her bond is set at $500,000. On Dec. 9, deputies were called to conduct a welfare check in the 300 block of Buffalo Ridge Drive after a neighbor reported large packages were "piling up" in front of a neighbor's home. The neighbor said they had not seen the home owner in several days and was concerned about their wellbeing. When deputies arrived, they found the 60-year-old woman from California dead inside her home with multiple stab wounds. A warrant was later issued for the victim's daughter. Detectives have confirmed Ngongoseke has fled the country and are working with the host country in an effort to get her back to the United States.
