The Los Angeles Women Police Officers and Associates (LAWPOA) announced the launch of its new website, www.lawpoa.org, as part of its mission to strengthen, unite and raise the profile of women in law enforcement.
"The refreshed website aligns well with our vision to advance the representation and experiences of women in law enforcement," said LAPD Commander Ruby Flores, President of LAWPOA. "The new website offers a clean, modern design and easy navigation with helpful tools and resources."
Created with keeping the user experience a top priority, the streamlined website features:
Easy navigation – User-friendly interface and the latest content allows the end-user to navigate through training and education; Value proposition – Updated content clearly articulates the organization's 100-year history and its goal to see a world where police officers reflect the diversity of the communities they serve; Quick access to resources – Website visitors can stay informed with relevant resources, latest insights, articles and forms with just a few clicks. LAWPOA, established in 1925, is administered directly by law enforcement officials and is open to both women and men. Today, the organization supports women and men in the public safety profession by contributing to their educational and career development, as well as providing professional networking avenues, scholarships, training and peer mentoring. The website redesign showcases a refreshed logo and refined mission and goals.
"We did not get this far just to come this far," said Flores.
