America was celebrating its 100th birthday and France wanted to create an amazing gift. Their gift was the 151 feet tall statue, also known as Lady Liberty. Lady Liberty proudly holds a torch in her right hand and a book in her left hand. She welcomes millions of visitors and immigrants every year in New York City.
