CULVER CITY, CA — A popular coffee shop in Culver City will move all business outside as COVID-19 cases rise in Los Angeles County and the highly contagious Omicron variant surges. "While most of how we're operating our cafes will remain the same, we've decided to put a hold on indoor dining at all cafes effective immediately," Go Get Em Tiger announced Tuesday. The company urged people to get vaccinated or boosted and help stop the spread of the virus. No eating or drinking will be happening inside any of the GGET locations, including Culver City, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, the Row in Downtown L.A., Highland Park, Los Feliz and Larchmont. "We will continue to offer outdoor seating at all cafes," the company said. "You'll still be able to come in and order at the counter or use the GGET app, and you'll still be able to take your drink outdoors in real life ceramic and glass." "Thank you for your understanding as we roll through the newest loop of the COVID rollercoaster," the company said. "Wear your mask, get vaccinated, (get boosted if you can!) and come out and see us." Los Angeles County's dramatic rise in COVID-19 infections continued Monday, with more than 3,200 new cases reported, along with seven more deaths and 60 new instances of the rapidly spreading Omicron variant. The troubling surge has health officials imploring people to get their booster shots. How to schedule a booster shot Visit the county's website to schedule a booster shot near you. The CDC says Pfizer and Moderna booster shots both provide increased protection against COVID-19 and help prevent severe symptoms in breakthrough cases. You can also make an appointment in Los Angeles County to get tested ahead of the holidays. Visit the website to schedule an appointment or find a location for walk-in testing.
