Press release from the Iredell County Government: December 21, 2021 Date/Time of Offense: May, 2021 through September, 2021. Offense(s)/Charge(s): Felony Solicitation of a Minor Felony Disseminate Obscene Material to a Minor Misdemeanor Stalking Two Counts of Misdemeanor Communicating Threats Location of Incident: Southeastern Iredell County. Suspect(s): Cameron Joel Faxon, 32 Years Old 130 Calhoun Road Stony Point, North Carolina 28678 Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Thursday, September 9, 2021, Detective Sergeant K. Campbell of the Iredell County Sheriff's Office Special Victim's Unit was investigating a previously reported sexual assault incident involving William Joshua Byard, who was arrested on November 10, 2021 for various felony charges to include Felony Human Trafficking, and Kidnapping, when she discovered evidence of other crimes which appeared to have been committed by Cameron Joel Faxon. Detective Campbell began conducting interviews, and gathering additional evidence in the new investigation. Campbell was able to verify Cameron Joel Faxon of Calhoun Road in Stony Point, was indeed a suspect in these now crimes. Based on all of the evidence gathered through the investigation, Det. Sgt. Campbell was able to obtain Felony Arrest Warrants on Cameron Joel Faxon for: Felony Solicitation of a Minor, Felony Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor, Misdemeanor Stalking, and Two Charges of Misdemeanor Communicating Threats. On Wednesday, December 15, 2021 was arrested by the Iredell County Sheriff's Office and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. He was served with his warrants and appeared before Magistrate S.
