BERKELEY, CA — A Berkeley shooting suspect arrested Friday was sitting on a trove of counterfeit Macbook Pro laptop computers, police said.
The suspect, identified as a 55-year-old Richmond man, was arrested in connection with a Dec. 8 shooting at San Pablo Avenue near Hearst Avenue, police said.
The suspect was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at an occupied vehicle, being a felon in possession of a firearm with a criminal enhancement for commission of a crime with a firearm, police said.
Berkeley Police Department detectives arrested the suspect on a warrant Friday.
Officers found the fake laptops along with a firearm and ammunition during a search of the suspect's home, police said.
