Requirements: One year of experience in the performance of building maintenance duties. Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License may be required. Good physical condition determined by pre-employment inquiries and post- employment health reports. KNOWLEDGE OF: Basic operations and tools employed in building maintenance work. General safety practices and procedures. Pending Employment: Employment Fingerprint Clearance and TB Clearance. Job Responsibilities: Keep assigned areas of buildings, grounds, and parking lot sanitary, safe, and orderly. Perform routine cleaning tasks and related work as required. Makes routine and emergency repairs and adjustments to school buildings and facilities. Repairs doors and windows and installs hardware. Paints doors, walls, or other appurtenances. Removes and replaces faucets and fixtures. Clears clogged lines. Replaces fuses, fixtures, sockets, and switches. May assist in large, complex projects involving the service of a journeymen tradesmen. May operate light trucks or other equipment to pick up or deliver equipment and supplies.
