Free Cat and Free Kitten Need New Homes

My elderly mother took in a stray female cat and her male kitten this past summer. The female cat appears to be a year or two old and the kitten was born in July or August. My mother has fallen ill and is moving into a care situation. She is unable to keep the cats. I am looking for a home for the cat and the kitten. They certainly could go to separate homes.
