As an operator, you will operate machinery to perform activities such as excavating, backfilling, pipe laying, trenching, ditching, clearing, fine grading and final clean up. Heavy Equipment Operator job responsibilities include: Operate various equipment safely as part of a crew. Operate trackhoe as part of a pipe crew. Ability to excavate and lay pipe (water, sewer, and storm). Perform operator level maintenance on the machine. Understand safe working loads and signals. Handle trench boxes of all sizes and shapes. QUALIFICATIONS: Five plus years of construction experience. Firm knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance.
