About the Job: We are looking for a self-motivated, responsible person to fill a part-time Delivery & Logistics Associate, riding our electric assist bikes with a climate controlled trailer. You will be the face of our company and interact with our customers and the community on a regular basis, with delivery routes on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This is a physically demanding job, so you must be experienced in year-round urban cycling. On occasion, the Delivery & Logistics Associate will need to drive a car or van, provided by Square Roots, to ensure deliveries during periods of maintenance on the cargo trikes or in extreme weather conditions. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required for this position. This position will require two shifts a week (Wednesdays and Saturday) for approximately 10 total hours on delivery routes. There is the potential for additional hours working with our farm team to prepare Square Roots retail product for delivery as needed. You will: Ensure all orders are packed correctly and matched against their invoice Ensure all deliveries are made within a timely manner, all year round Maintain relationships with our retail customers at the point of delivery Collect signatures from all deliveries for our records. You are: Available starting between 7am-8am on Wednesdays & Saturdays A team player with a positive attitude Well-organized and detail-oriented Able to manage your time effectively A proactive communicator who is comfortable using a smartphone/tablet and using apps to keep your manager and team informed The holder of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no moving violations or at-fault accidents within the last 2 years) The owner of a cell phone with internet access (stipend to offset cell phone data will be provided) Serious about COVID-19 safety and comfortable wearing a mask while on the job Experienced with delivery or bike messenger work (a plus) Spanish speaking (a big plus) Interested in real, local food and urban farming (a huge plus) Compensation includes hourly pay, a cell phone stipend, free herbs and greens, and the opportunity to be part of the Square Roots mission. Fully vaccinated at this time is defined as 2 shots of MRNA vaccine + 2 weeks out, or 1 shot of J&J vaccine and 2 weeks out.
