Description
Are you looking to play some music with other people but don't want a full-time commitment?
If you've been playing for a few years and have always wanted to get more experience performing live with other musicians, in front of an audience, then I'd love to chat with you.
You don't necessarily have to be a professional. You just have to be willing to learn 3-4 songs, be able to play with a click, have a good time, and want to become a better musician in the process.
Q&A if you're interested:
Do I need to be able to read music?
It helps, but is NOT required, especially if you can pick things up by ear.
Is this a paying gig?
Nope, we're not getting paid; this is just for fun and personal/musical growth.
Is this a church?
Yes, but if you've read this far I'm hoping that won't stop you. I want to connect with other interesting people who love to play music, not just people who have certain beliefs.
What kind of music would I be playing?
We cover a little more ground than the typical stuff. If you've never heard modern worship then think pop/rock/ballad/country. We also occasionally throw in popular music from various decades.
What's required of me?
You'd be given a few songs to learn (and play along to) well in advance. You do your homework. On the Sunday you choose to play, you show up in the morning, we run through a few times, hang out, then play two live services about an hour apart.
