The i-71 Committee is hosting a charity happy hour / fundraising event to benefit DC Books to Prisons! The i-71 Committee is a coalition of industry leaders and stakeholders, led by Urban Aroma, Gentleman Toker and DCWE, who are committed to working alongside the DC council to pass equitable, fair and socially conscious cannabis legislation. The committee will kick off 2022 with a ticketed charity happy hour, Gifting Back with Paperbacks, to benefit DC Books to Prisons, an organization that sends more than 7,000 book packages to prisoners in over 600 prisons across the United States. Each early bird $30 ticket for the event will include one drink-of-choice at the bar and a $20 donation directly to DC Books to Prisons. DC Books to Prisons is a nonprofit organization that provides free books to individual prisoners and supports prison libraries across the United States.
