Dan, man with shopping cart on Washington and 5th Street

Hello, Can anyone help with any information on Dan, the man who is always on 5th St and Washington with his shopping cart full of stuff - tarp covering it? White hair and beard, usually wears black. His shopping cart is in his usual spot in front of Hopes Hospital but has not been by it for days now. Please help me find him. He’s very sweet and a friend of mine. Please email me if you should know anything.
