SNAP wants you to learn to love urban composting! Come learn how to compost at home in this engaging, hands-on workshop! Love your compost, love your soil, love your plants, love the planet! In this FREE workshop, offered by the Sunset Nature Advocacy Partnership (SNAP) -- a collaboration between Garden for the Environment, Nature in the City, and Sutro Stewards -- you will learn to love compost and all its benefits in this fun and enlightening workshop! The backbone of every healthy garden, compost improves all soil types and can be a difference between success and failure with many plants. In this FREE workshop, we will teach you how to make compost in your backyard, and introduce you to our worms that make their own special fertilizer. We will also give you tips on using your city compost bin. Come learn what you can do to improve your garden, prevent organic waste from ending up in the landfill, and help sequester carbon in the soil where it's beneficial! Please bring your own gardening gloves, mask, and your eagerness to learn about urban composting! Please see the SNAP website for all of our free upcoming events.
