2022 Construction and Professional Services Vendor Outreach Fair UIC, Student Center East January 13, 2022 9am-2pm The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District’s (MWRD) Diversity Section will be hosting a Construction and Professional Services Vendor Outreach Fair to expand and maximize business opportunities for local Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women Business Enterprises (WBE), and Small Business Enterprises (SBE). This year’s event will include representatives from local governmental agencies, Assist Agencies, Prime Contractors/Consultants. MWRD Departments of Maintenance and Operations, Procurement, and Engineering will make presentations. All presenters, as well as staff from other participating agencies/companies will be available to answer your questions. • Bring a completed and signed District Vendor Application for processing at the Fair in order to have your firm added to the District’s Vendor List. A Vendor Application and a copy of our brochure, “A Quick Guide To Doing Business with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District” is available on our website at: www.mwrd.org • Bring a current Letter of Certification from the City of Chicago, the Illinois Department of Transportation or one of the other UCP agencies including METRA, PACE or CTA, Cook County, CMSDC, WBDC-Chicago, SBA 8(A), and Illinois Department of Central Management Services so you may receive a Letter of Certification from the District for designation as an MBE or WBE on the District’s Vendor List We are encouraging all attendees to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Please show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before attendance or proof of vaccination upon arrival, in accordance with the Chicago Department of Public Health.
