Job Description JOB SUMMARY Support the production plan and goals. Perform a wide range of assembly, test, and inspection operations to produce sub-assemblies and finished goods. Strictly adhere to the department training procedures. Build from drawings, routings, and work instructions (both verbal and written) using hand/power tools, specialized fixtures and equipment. Identify, troubleshoot and properly handle non-conformances. Perform light machining operations to manufacture components. Complete required documentation both manually and electronically. Work on special projects and perform administrative tasks as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Receive proper training and sign off by a trainer before starting any new job or task. Work with department management to insure that your training is kept current. Ask questions if you are unsure of assembly processes or department procedures. - Assemble, rework, and/or reassemble product utilizing drawings, routings, and work instructions (both verbal and written). - Inspect product during various assembly stages to insure high quality output and proactively identify issues. - Prepare and utilize hand/power tools, specialized fixtures and equipment to build and test product. Maintain and properly store all equipment per instructions. - Identify non-conformances in components, sub-assemblies and finished products. Repair product, document issues, and/or communicate findings to an engineer and/or a superior. - Complete all required documentation accurately and timely using both manual forms and electronic processing. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Through training and personal effort, develop a knowledge, including troubleshooting, and best manufacturing processes. - Participate in Lean (Kaizen-continuous improvement) and team building activities. - Provide backup services to other departments (i.e., Materials and Quality) as required.
