Description

Hi, there! OVERVIEW This live, online course is an interactive introduction to five key steps in filmmaking: concept development, writing, pre-production, production, and post-production. It is offered to a single group of 10-20 participants, in six two-hour classes, once a week, for six consecutive weeks. Whether you’re making a short film, a commercial production, a feature, or a series, these story principles and production steps apply. You will become a better storyteller and more efficient, effective filmmaker learning about these principles of story and the creative and physical production process of telling that story on film. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Applicants will receive a more comprehensive bio on their instructor, including IMDb credits and website to review his work. The instructor is a film writer and director who has been making films full-time since 2010 in Los Angeles and the Bay Area, where he is currently directing a series. He began writing, directing, and filming music videos, then award-winning commercial work for global brands, then award-winning short films before transitioning to feature films and series. His first feature screenplay won four nominations, including finalist out of 10,000 entrants at the Page Awards, one of the top five screenplay competitions in the world.
