Join us in helping educate community members about the importance of preventing underage drinking and youth substance misuse. We're back! The Amado Community Alliance and Portable Practical Education Preparation Inc (PPEP Inc) invite you to a cozy movie event this January! We will be screening A Star is Born (2018) for FREE at the Desert Sky Cinema on August 28th! Yes, the one with Lady Gaga! A Star is Born (2018) tells the story of Ally, a struggling musician who meets Jackson Maine, a big time name in the music industry. Ally falls in love and her career takes off but Jackson's own inner demons and alcoholism might just be their downfall. We are seeking to educate community members about the seriousness of preventing underage drinking and youth substance misuse and the real impact of addiction. In addition, we want to provide support, hope and real solutions. Attendees will be able to visit vendor tables before the movie and also participate in an Rx360 presentation, during which attendees will learn about how to speak to children and youth about underage drinking and substance misuse.
