Description

A one-day event to provide students and families with knowledge about the social determinants of health and available health resources! This event will educate students and families about the social determinants of health as well as raise awareness regarding available health resources in the community. The social determinants of health include healthcare access and quality, education access and quality, social community and context, economic stability, and neighborhood and built environment. We will focus on these social determinants of health by having community organizations in each category table at our fair and help explain how all of these aspects can influence health and wellness. This event is an extra credit opportunity for some science, health, and/or child development classes!
