Free Event FREE EVENT - REGISTRATION OPENS 1/12/2022Paddle with ERM staff around the stunning wetlands at Winding Waters Natural Area. We all know about gorgeous seashore islands, but have you ever been wondered what freshwater islands are like? Come join us on a guided tour of a man-made island within a restored natural area. The only way to get on the island is by water. We will be kayaking out to the island then exploring the island on foot. What type of creatures will we find living the island life?  Single-person sit-on-top kayaks will be provided. Please bring water, appropriate clothing (hat, hiking shoes/boots, long-sleeved shirts and pants for bugs) and bug spray. This site does NOT have restroom facilities but are a short drive away within Dyer Park (but not while kayaking!) Masks are required for all participants (regardless of vaccination status) that are not able to maintain social distancing.
