Guest SpeakerMickey Minagorri-Executive Vice President-Artco Group About the SpeakerMickey was born in Havana, Cuba and came to the US at the age of 5 in 1961. Mickey attended Belen Jesuit School. He was an Eagle Scout but at the same time he was the president of a local gang in Miami. He was accepted by several IVY League Schools but came back to Miami and finished an MBA at FIU and was elected the President of the Student Government. Mickey is married to Yoly Miñagorri. They have three amazing daughters Michelle, Marianne, and Monica and now there are 4 grandchildren and another on the way. Mickey helped to put together the largest Hispanic Business in the US. At that time, it was called IMC, it was the first Medicare HMO Plan and now it's called Humana. Mickey had many business ventures throughout the world and enjoyed it, but it did take a toll on family life. The turning point was attending an Emmaus Retreat in 1989 and until this day the family continues to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a Family and Community, all over the world. ______________________________________________________________________________ BiografíaMickey Minagorri es oriundo de La Habana, Cuba y emigró a los EEUU en 1961 a la edad de cinco años. Su familia se estableció en Miami y el terminó siendo alumno de la Escuela Belen Jesuit. A pesar de que el pertenecía a los Eagle Scouts, a la misma vez era presidente de una pandilla local. Al terminar sus estudios secundarios, se matriculó en universidades prestigiosas del noreste del país, pero terminó sus estudios en Florida International University donde recibió su titulo de Maestría en Negocios y fue nombrado presidente del Consejo Estudiantil. Mickey está casado con Yolanda y son los orgullosos padres de Michelle, Marianne y Monica, las cuales les han dotado de 4 nietos y uno por venir. El estuvo involucrado en instituir el negocio Hispano de mas grande envergadura de su época que con el tiempo se constituyó en Humana. A pesar de tener mucho éxito en negocios alrededor del mundo, esto causó mucha presión familiar, hasta que participó en un retiro de Emmaus en 1989 el cual lo llevó a los píes de Cristo Jesus, quien sirve hasta el día de hoy. Actualmente, Mickey es el Vice-Presidente Ejecutivo de Artco Group.
