Classical Guitar Conner Barney has entertained audiences with his classical guitar repertoire at venues as varied as the Aspen Music Festival, Aspen, Colorado to the La Guitarra Festival, Granada, Spain where he performed with Pepe Romero. He has performed more than 250 concerts including Bernstein’s Mass with the Indiana University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Constantine Kitsopoulos. His performance here will include Chaccone, Partita No. 2, BWV 1004 by J. S. Bach, Etudes No. 1, 2, 7, 11, and 12 by Heitor Villa Lobos, and Bloom Suite by Elliot Cole. He holds a B.M. in guitar from Wright State University. He earned his M.M. at Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and is currently on the teaching staff at McCutcheon Music while pursuing his D.M. His concerts often include works by Scarlatti, Barrios, and deFalla along with classic Flamenco music.
