Description
#1 start an all original indie dance pop band with a touch of punk. Synth sounds, drum machine backed up with real drums, all topped off with some tasty power chords or catchy guitar leads. Influences include but are not limited to: LCD Soundsystem, Ghostland Observatory, Tame Impala.
#2 start an 80's party cover band designed to maximize fun, get people moving to live renditions of songs they already know, and maybe make a few dollars. Influences include but are not limited to Beastie Boys, Cyndi Lauper, ABBA. I know a ridiculous number of cover tunes. And when my former live karaoke band played at the Squire Lounge, we made more money than I've ever made with band playing original music. Same as idea #1, including synth, drum machine, drums, guitar, bass.
#3 start a yacht rock cover band designed to eventually play out at smaller, more intimate venues. Think 70's and 80's light rock, played with keys/synth, drum machine, harmonies, and any accessory instrument you might bring to the table.
