Press release from Waukee Community School District: Dec 20, 2021 Waukee Community School District (CSD) is excited to announce Liz Griesel as the principal at Sugar Creek Elementary, pending board approval. Griesel is currently an assistant principal in Waukee CSD at Maple Grove and Eason Elementary Schools. Griesel brings a wealth of experience including; working in a variety of roles at Des Moines Public Schools as literacy curriculum coordinator, instructional coach, and classroom teacher. Griesel holds a Master's in Educational Leadership and administrator's license from Drake University; Social Justice in Education Certification from Iowa State University, and anticipated graduation with Ph.D. in Educational Leadership in May 2022 (Iowa State). Sugar Creek Elementary is the district's tenth elementary and will open in August 2022. This press release was produced by Waukee Community School District.
